An Update After a Long Delay
Sorry it has taken me so long to post a written blog. As you might have guessed, I was having technical difficulties, and it took me a while to find a technology consultant versed in html and Java script. In the end, Daddy figured out a way for me to post my pictures. Also my Uncle Sam rigged up a wireless Internet connection so I can blog from my crib if I want. I'm back, Baby!
Since my last posting, lots has happened. My Jo-Jo Dancer came to visit with us for a week. She was loads of fun. I didn't have to go to daycare, and she played with me all day, even let me nap in her arms, which my teachers never let me do. I got to show off some of my tricks, like I blew out a few diapers for her. I am told that blowing out diapers is difficult when you switch to solids so I was very proud of myself, and she seemed really impressed. I also showed Jo-Jo Dancer that I can roll around. It's not like I didn't know how to roll over, I just didn't want to. All the other kids in daycare kept saying, "C'mon, roll over. Are you a sissy?" That made me mad so I wouldn't do it. Then a few weeks ago, I decided, "What the heck," and I rolled over for Momma. She was really excited. She called my Daddy, and he came home to watch me roll. So then I strung four rolls together and rolled across the room! It was pretty cool, but after that, I was dizzy. The only problem is sometimes at night when I'm playing, I'll roll over and then get stuck on my stomach. Then I have to cry for Momma or Daddy to come and flip me over. It's pretty embarassing but they seem more amused than mad. Since then, I've been trying to crawl. It isn't easy considering how big my belly is. I'm gonna have to work on that. Jo-Jo Dancer helped push me on the ground so I could practice crawling some. She also let me watch Dr. Phil some. Based on that, I've decided that being an adult is pretty complicated -- crawling, I can handle; living in a "egocentric, narcassistic, disempowering" relationship, I'cant (I don't even know what those words mean!).
This past weekend, Mommy and Daddy took me on a ski trip to West Virginia with my Uncle Sam and Uncle Ed. It was loads of fun. But I didn't get to ski. Apparently, you have to be standing first.
I also got my first tooth in. It's not as exciting as it sounds. I was expecting something long and pointed, like what Shaky and Pup-Pup have. Instead, my tooth is small and flat. It doesn't look the least bit fierce. Shaky's and Pup-Pup's teeth are so scary looking that they don't even call them teeth -- They call them "canines"! Now that sounds fierce! I want some canines. Oh well, maybe my next ones will be bigger and sharper.
